Wedding violinist and DJ for your Toronto wedding

I play violin for your ceremony and cocktail hour, then I'm your DJ for the reception, with or without live violin. I'm based in Montreal and I drive to Toronto and the GTA with my own sound system.

Watch

Two clips filmed at weddings. Turn the sound on to hear the violin.

One artist for the whole day: ceremony, cocktail hour and dance floor.

Most couples book a ceremony musician and a separate DJ. I do both, so you have one supplier, one quote and one person to coordinate with your venue and your planner.

I work in English and French. I play weddings and events across Quebec and Ontario.

The day

View of a reception hall during a violin performance

Ceremony

Guest arrival, processional, vows and recessional. I plan each moment with your officiant or wedding planner. Classical, religious or modern music, and I can learn the song of your choice (six weeks before the wedding). Ceremony music ideas.

Cocktail hour

One to two hours of violin during the cocktail hour: pop hits, jazz and classical, at a volume that lets your guests talk.

Reception DJ

I'm also a DJ: I handle the music for the whole reception, from opening the dance floor to the last song. I add live violin at the big moments, like the first dance and the biggest songs.

Wedding DJ in Toronto, with live violin

You can book me for all the music at your wedding: violin for the ceremony and cocktail hour, then DJ for the dance party, with live violin on the big moments like the first dance.

Before the wedding, we plan the music together by phone or video call: your must-play songs, the ones to avoid and the kind of party you want. No need to hire a DJ on top of a musician.

How travel works

I drive to Toronto with my violin and my sound equipment, so there's nothing to rent or ship.

Travel is handled in the contract and listed separately in the quote. You don't have anything to organize for me, and there's no surprise on the invoice.

I arrive early to set up and test the sound before your guests arrive, like at any wedding.

How much does a wedding violinist cost in Toronto?

I don't post a fixed price, because no two weddings need the same thing. Here is what changes the quote.

The package. Ceremony only, ceremony and cocktail hour, DJ + live violin for the reception, or the full day.

The length. How many hours I play on site.

The location. Toronto, the GTA or elsewhere in Ontario. Travel is listed separately in the quote.

The sound. I provide all the sound, whatever the number of guests: a portable system for the ceremony, a full system for a large room. The equipment depends on the venue and the number of guests.

If you book both the violin and the DJ with me, you deal with one supplier and one quote for all the music.

Send me the date, the venue and what you have in mind: you get a written quote within 12 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Do you really travel to Toronto for weddings?

Yes. I drive from Montreal with my violin and my sound system. Travel is handled in the contract and listed separately in the quote.

Do we need to book a hotel for you?

No. Travel arrangements are part of the contract and the quote, so you have nothing to organize for me.

How much does a wedding violinist cost in Toronto?

I don't post a fixed price. It depends on the package (ceremony only, ceremony and cocktail hour, DJ + live violin reception or the full day), the number of hours, the location and the sound equipment needed. Travel is listed separately. Send me the date and the venue: I send you a written quote within 12 hours.

Do you bring your own sound system?

Yes. I provide all the sound, whatever the number of guests: a portable system for the ceremony and cocktail hour, a full system for the reception. If the venue already has its own system, we can use it too.

Can you DJ our whole reception?

Yes. I can be your DJ for the whole reception, with or without live violin. You get one supplier for all the music instead of hiring a DJ and a musician separately.

What music do you play at a wedding?

Classical and religious music for the ceremony, pop hits and jazz for the cocktail hour, and electronic, house and pop for the reception. I don't impose a list: we choose the music together. Ceremony music ideas.

Can you learn a specific song for our entrance?

Yes. Send me the title (or the exact version) at least six weeks before the wedding. I'll send you a recording so you can approve it.

Do you work in English?

Yes, I'm fluent in English and French, for the planning and on the microphone.

What happens if you're sick on the wedding day?

I work with trusted professional violinists. In an emergency, one of them replaces me with the music planned for you. It's written in the contract.

How do I book?

Write to me (WhatsApp, email or phone) with the date, the venue and what you have in mind. I confirm my availability within 12 hours, we talk on the phone, then I send you a written quote. The date is reserved when the contract is signed.

Check my availability
