At a corporate event, music plays two roles: it sets the mood during the cocktail, then holds the room between the key moments and the dance floor. These two moments call for different approaches.

What I offer: covering a corporate evening from start to finish. Classical violin for the guests' arrival. Electric violin with an electronic backing for the speeches and award presentations. Live DJ set with violin on top for the dance floor. One person on site, not three or four vendors to coordinate.

This combination is rare in Quebec: agencies typically offer either a live musician or a DJ.

Cocktail — classical violin

During the guests' arrival and the cocktail hour, I play acoustic violin solo (or violin-piano duo on request). Classical repertoire, lounge jazz, instrumental versions of pop or film music. The volume is set to let conversation flow without dominating it.

When the room is ready to step up in energy, I switch to the electric violin with an electronic backing. Signature pieces, EDM covers, choreographed performances with dancers on request.

Self-contained PA

Pro QSC PA system or equivalent, calibrated for 50 to 250 guests. For larger rooms, I work with your sound provider or the venue's.

Wireless mics & in-ears

Shure or Sennheiser system for the MC, in-ears for the DJ set. No cables on the floor, no trip hazard for guests.

Contract & official invoice

Written contract, 40% deposit, invoice with GST/QST. Business number and accounting contact provided upfront.

Bilingual FR / EN

Announcements, song requests, day-of coordination in French or English depending on your audience. Ideal for head offices with mixed crowds.

The fee for a violinist at a corporate gala in Montreal and across Quebec depends on the package (cocktail only, full package cocktail + show + DJ, or custom), the total time on site, and the location (downtown Montreal vs Mont-Tremblant or Charlevoix). Every event is quoted after a 15-minute scoping call. Written quote sent within 24 hours, contract on signature.

For galas and major corporate events: 3 to 6 months ahead, especially for end-of-year nights (November-December) which book up from September. Yes, by default. Written contract with cancellation clauses, 40% deposit on signature, balance due on the day. Official invoice with GST and QST numbers. For purchase order bookings or corporate accounting workflows (PO, business number, net 30 payment terms), everything is sorted upfront.

Yes. Whether it's a theme tied to your brand, a signature song for an awards ceremony, or a corporate anthem, I arrange it for violin (acoustic or electric depending on the moment of the evening).
